The old saying, "You can choose your friends, but you can't choose your Family" rings so true as we prepare for the 3rd Annual Workman Family Reunion. In the past year and a half, I've met many Workman Family members and find many become good friends. This is in addition to those who I've known all my life. What a fine Family of very real individuals. What a joy it is to run into someone and find we are related and share such a rich heritage. As a young boy, I remember attending a couple of Family Reunions in Liberty Park in Salt Lake City. My grandfather and his siblings organized these gatherings and they knew each other and worked diligently to publish the red Workman Family book. I was pretty young, but remember Meltiar up front in his white shirt and tie and his hat. I don't remember what was being discussed, but I remember the feeling of importance for the Family in his voice. We are continuing that tradition as indicated below:

Noon | Business Meeting - Introduction of Board of Directors & Organization Over view & business. | You may want to bring your lunch to eat during this meeting.Workman Multi-tasking. | 1:30 p.m | Family Photos. | 2:00 p.m. | Sharing of Histories, Photos, Stories, Genealogy and maybe some Workman Family Songs. |
One major item being discussed will be the replacement of John Workman's gravestone.
